Iran cinematographer awarded at Asia Pacific Film Festival

Asia Pacific Film Festival (APFF) in Cambodia grants an award to Iran cinematographer Mohammad Aladpoush.

Asia Pacific Film Festival (APFF) held this year in Cambodia has presented Best Cinematography award to Iran artist Mohammad Aladpoush for ‘A Tale Of Love’.

The film directed by Ahmad Ramezan Zadeh was screened at the 2017 edition of the filmfest running July 28-30.

The award-winning artist Mohammad Aladpoush is known for his cinematographic work on Iranian movie titles such as 'The Painting Pool' and 'Saadat Abad'.

"An Iranian war photographer ... meets a woman and a tale of love begins," a brief synopsis for 'A Tale of Love' read.

Other Iranian movies attending the event included titles such as ‘Night Shift’ by Niki Karimi and ‘The Long Farewell’ by Farzad Motamen.

The APFF traditionally changes venue each year, being held in different countries in the Asia Pacific region. Founded in 1954, the inaugural edition of event was hosted by Japan.

The 57th edition of the fest was due to be mounted in Thailand; however feeble health condition of Thailand’s King prompted a delay, leading to the event being ultimately hosted by Cambodia.
